Reflecting with Gratitude

This year's Summer Solstice Event was A Celebration of Life. That may seem like a broad term, but it is very specific to each and every one of us. Whether we are celebrating the birth of a baby or project that's been in the works for years, celebrating the life of a loved one who's passed, or even celebrating the choice of life itself... life is so grand and so extremely intimate. What a perfect way to begin, what we hope to be, a tradition of friends gathering in celebration of all that life has to offer.

This year, we used the healing powers of fresh herbs and the transformative powers of fire to transmute fears, pain, sadness, doubt, judgment and anxiety into love, joy and freedom. As each one stepped up to the fire holding strongly their intent, we were guided by the deep tones of the Didgeridoo, so graciously shared by Cory and his new (okay, maybe old) friends Jeff and Steve. The smoke from the fire was welcome as guests stood in it's harmonizing influence.

Guests found themselves eager to take part of writing blessings, prayers, words of gratitude, dreams and aspirations on note cards that were tightly sealed in self-addressed envelopes. These envelopes will be boxed and buried on site so the blessings can be shared amongst the group, thus amongst the Universe. These blessings will be nurtured by Gaia, our Mother Earth, until we meet again at the next Summer Solstice Celebration when we will unearth our messages with newness and gratitude.

The evening was filled with a summer breeze that carried children's laughter, uplifting music and inspiring connections... and ended with a circle of prayers as the long summer day turned to a cool refreshing night.

I look forward to staying connected with you all, whether you were able to join us this year or will make it next. Please feel free to use this space as "our" space to share inspirations throughout the year.

With much gratitude and love for you,
Tina
